NFV Honored Their Chief Patron Satish Chandra Rai

Namchi Friends Veterans (NFV) felicitated it’s new chief patron, Satish Chandra Rai, MLA Namchi-Singithang constituency, at his residence, on Tuesday.

Namchi Friends Veterans has 25 veteran footballers from in and around Namchi. The team has come together to build friendship and practice for health benefits.

After being established in 2023, NFV has already taken parts in various social works and organizing exclusive events in Namchi. Within a year’s period, NFV members provided manual help in places affected by flashflood 2024. Notably at Rangpo. And organized relief materials collection drive from Namchi. They’ve organized various veteran matches and tournament in different places, for building friendship with eachother.

The most exclusive and praiseworthy event organized by Namchi Friends Veterans is ‘Golden Baby League 2024’. Held in Bhaichung Stadium, from July to September. The event had about 600 children under the age of five and ten, registered and coached in the League. The chief patron of NFV, Satish Chandra Rai, have said that NFV is doing exceptional works in bringing up new generation society of Namchi. He mentioned that NFV maybe a great asset to fight against drug menace and other social evil amongst the younger generation of Namchi.
