IPR’s The Creative Hub
The Department of Information and Public Relations (IPR) established ‘Creative Hub’ at Green Park Jorethang, on the occassion of Jorethang Maghey Mela Celebration 2025.
The Green Park has almost 15 different creative spaces, highlighting the creations of the creative entrepreneurs of Sikkim.
The tent laden Creative Hub is the museum of local entrepreneurs in itself.
Some of the unique stalls are – Crafted Fibres, Oviya Art Workshop, Green Pastures Cafe, Waling Food Hub, Natives PDL arts and merchandise collection and Sikkim Herald museum.
Crafted Fibres
Crafted Fibres is the community based woving craftsmanship initiated by Vet Dr. Chewing Norbu Bhutia. They make expensive Angora wool crafts. Mostly shawls, hats, carpet and stole. Crafted Fibres is already getting international queries, Dr. Chewang informs.

Oviya Art Workshop
Oviya Art Workshop is handled by Artist Sagar Subba and Diwakar Lamechaney, who is the general secretary of Oviya Art Circle. They sell all size of artworks from Sikkim, Nepal and elsewhere. The most exclusive part of their space is outdoor Art Workshop where they provide kits for children to make paintings of their liking. The artists also make portraits of the visitors.

Green Pastures Cafe is the roadside cafe concept of Manny Lepcha of Gangtok. His ideas are still young, but will soon be revealed to the majority of Sikkim through his branding company of ‘Green Pastures’.

Waling Food Hub
Waling Food Hub, is Namchi based, pure vegetarian fastfood chain, owned by Alap Rai. He shares that his target costumers are everyone who likes veg items, hygienic Food in affordable prices.

Natives PDL
Natives PDL is an arts and merchandise collection stall, handled by Phurba Doma Lepcha of Gangtok and Surya Gurung of Jorethang. Lepcha is the owner of Arts and Tattoo Studio of Vajra Gangtok and Gurung has Sol Imprints in Jorethang. The duo have shared collaboration for almost three years now. Phurba designs her original modern-cultural fusion arts, which are printed by Sol Imprints. They also work in logo designing, graphic designing and illustrations.

Sikkim Herald museum
Sikkim Herald museum is located at the entrance of Creative Hub, at Greenpark Jorethang. They have a collection of newspapers printed in English, Nepali, Limboo, Lepcha and Bhutia translations.

Joint Director, IPR, shares that the concept behind Creative Hub is mainly to provide platforms to local entrepreneurs and skillful individuals from State Institute of Capacity Building, Sikkim.
