The Entrepreneurial Dilemma Of Sikkim State
The entrepreneurial dilemma of Sikkim state since the Government started implying the ‘one family one entrepreneur’ scheme is broken down by UDD minister, Bhojraj Rai, in Assangthang.
He wants the people of Sikkim to seek financial assistance from the government for business. Yet, his emphasis on the usage of money acquired from the banks says that the people are not using them properly. It suggests that most of the loan seekers are still money shy in the state.
While the government is also trying to support entrepreneurship of the locals, they are not ready to support loans payback. Especially those who have deposited land parchas to the banks are still losing their credibility in CIBIL scores. Minister Bhojraj is against the supporting of loan payback through government finance.
The people of Sikkim after the statehood of 50 years, are still not demonstrating the proper business ideals. Especially in manufacturing and production sectors.
“My dedication and service is to the people of Sikkim. And tomorrow when I descend from my post, I still like to be loved by the people for my work” Minister Bhojraj Rai Says
Minister Bhojraj Rai have clearly stated that the milk and egg production in Sikkim are still not enough for the population. And that they are being imported from other states.
The people of his constituency area are still seeking the ‘white collar jobs’ in their applications. He says that the people must seek support for business to beat the misbalance of the situation. He says that the people of Poklok-Kamrang have come from many hardships, challenged by the geographical and earning means. The best option the youths have found are in seeking ‘retaining walls, from their MLA.
He also says that the people are afraid of taking loans. And says that he is trying to spread awareness of subsidy loans. He further says that the many loan seekers have diverted loan money to other purposes which have made the people indebted to the banks.
The people who have lost their land parchas to loans will not be supported by the government. It ruins the smooth running of the government and the banks will not be able to give loans to other loan seekers, minister Bhojraj Rai clearly states.
