Road Traffic Accidents Between Two Large Vehicles In Phalidara Hills Caused Traffic Jam

Namchi, 14th June, 2024

A road traffic accident occurred at Lower Phalidara, near View Point Namchi which has caused a major traffic jam in the forest area from around 2pm till evening today.

The collision between SNT bus bearing number SK01B0329 and an oil tanker bearing number SK05D0189 which were travelling at opposite direction.

Only the small bodied vehicles can pass through the congested passage.

According to sources, fourteen occupants of the bus sustained injuries who were promptly rescued and taken to District Hospital Namchi for first aid with the help of the local residents.

According to the medical reports, one male suffered a fractured leg, and a female sustained a head laceration.

The condition of all the patients is reportedly stable, but they are being kept under observation at the hospital.

The incident is currently under investigation, and appropriate actions are being initiated through the Department of Motor Vehicle and others for legal procedures.
