Sikkim BJYM Organizes Successful Blood Donation Drive in Namchi on PM Narendra Modi’s Birthday
Namchi, 19th September 2023: On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, Namchi BJYM organized a commendable blood donation campaign at the Namchi District Hospital Blood Bank today.
Approximately 30 units of life-saving blood were collected and safely stored within the Blood Bank. The generous donors predominantly consisted of BJYM members hailing from various constituencies within Namchi District, as well as from neighbouring districts.

While more than 80 individuals from Namchi, Soreng, and Geyzing districts came forward with the noble intent to donate blood, constraints related to their health records and the limited storage capacity at the Blood Bank allowed only thirty donors to participate.

In recognition of their selfless contribution, the donors were honoured with participation certificates from BJYM Sikkim, and they were also issued blood donor cards by the Namchi Blood Bank.

In a heartwarming exchange of appreciation, BJYM Sikkim presented Namchi Blood Bank with a token of gratitude, reciprocated with a certificate from the Blood Bank.

It’s noteworthy that this blood donation drive, in conjunction with various other activities like local lakes and ponds cleanup and maintenance of statues commemorating martyrs and leaders across India, will continue until October 2nd, all under the unified banner of ‘Sewa Pakwada.’ This initiative commenced on September 17th and is organized by the national Bharatiya Janata Party.

Following the successful blood donation campaign, the Mahila Morcha of Sikkim BJP, under the guidance of its Vice President, Aruna Mangar, distributed nourishing food items in the antenatal and senior citizen wards of Namchi District Hospital.
