After 5 years of ruling, SKM Party president, PS Tamang (Golay), devices power decentralization in the party functions and activities. Each year in their Jan Unmukti Diwas, celebrated on August 10, the party had one of the ministers selected as the president of the Celebration Committee. But, since the start of the party’s second tenure, party president PS Tamang, makes decisions of decentralization amongst party workers.

While briefing that his decisions on PHED will be the decision of the state, Minister, PHED, Sonam Lama, in Rangpo today, exhalts PS Tamang for his ‘unmukti’ in decision making.

The SKM party held its first meeting for ‘Jan Unmukti Diwas 2024’ at the Rangpo Tourism Office on July 24. Ministers Sonam Lama and Arun Upreti, were the incharge of the coordination meeting.

The meeting finalizes the president and the vice-president of the Celebration Committee. The Celebration Committee selected former SBS Chairman, DB Gurung, as its president. And the present Jan Prakostha President, Lakpa Moktan, as the vice-president.

The next meeting will be called through phone messages to all the party workers. The meeting will have the agendas of selecting subcommittee members. It will be in the presence of HoDs of various government departments, and other event management teams. The date and time for the same will be shared through phone messages.

SKM party president, and the chief minister of Sikkim, PS Tamang, have many promises to the people of Sikkim. And the start of power decentralization amongst party workers is seen as the first example of the government he and his party is running. And when is the better time to give ‘unmukti’ from power annexation than the day he came out of the political prison.
