Squad Of Unity And Liberation Starts Their Journey With Cleanliness Drive
A New society of social workers has been formed by ten students of Sikkim Government College Namchi. The team lighted a hundred candles for justice and security of all the women – students, professionals and every other individuals, in Central Park Namchi yesterday.

SOUL, on August 22, at Central Park, recited a few poems portraying the lacking of the safety of women in the working places. And presented a tribute song dedicated to all the women who have not yet found justice.
Team members of SOU&L
The name of the team is SOU&L (squad of unity and liberation). The ten founding members are, Anmol Rai (president), Anthony Narzary (general secretary), Anugrah Rai and Reshika Gazmer (both are treasurer). The founding members include, Pragyan Tamang, Deepak Thakur, Renzong Lepcha, Sonam Lepcha, and Lhasung Bhutia. Student Sujata Subba is the Advisor of the team. Alongwith these founding members, ten more members has recently joined the squad.

What the founding members say
According to its general secretary, the team wants to change the understanding of people on common social topics. Starting from cleanliness and proper disposing of garbage, to the areas like health, education and entrepreneurship. Pragyan Tamang adds that the team wants to go to schools and colleges for awareness programme and include more members from younger generation to support the cause started by SOU&L. The president of the squad, Anmol Rai, says that they have found ways to contribute to the society while still being a student.
Notable works
The most notable works of the squad includes, the cleaning of Bhaichung Stadium, on August 16, after the celebration of the Independence Day. Anmol Rai has also said that they are planning an extensive cleanliness drive in Namchi very soon.
